Medieval Faire benefits therapeutic riding
On September 22, the Carriage Barn in Newton NH held a Medieval Faire event to benefit the Therapeutic Riding Program conducted there.
I was there to take portraits of folks with their adorable costumed ponies, also to take candid shots during the day’s activities. Many photos may be found at Medieval Faire photos, and anyone desiring to purchase a photo or gift will be helping out the ongoing Therapy Program at the Carriage Barn.

The Carriage Barn Equestrian Center Therapeutic Programs seek to enhance physical, psychological, cognitive, and emotional healing and strengthening through equine activities. We believe that a quiet, natural, outdoor setting provides a serene learning environment. Horses can provide opportunities for a unique relationship that nurtures and empowers their human partners in a way that brings new insights, self-confidence, improves communications, and relaxation.
They are a Member Center of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) as well as a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit organization (FID#05-0526877). Programs provide therapeutic equine activities for physically, emotionally and mentally handicapped children and adults.

I don’t htink there’s anything more healing than a horse.
