Friesian Appaloosa wild spotted colt

Posted in Horses for the horse crazy at 4:44 pm by petArtist Cmoses

This was emailed from somebody, he is wicked cute. In my opinion they better keep him under lock and key! I gotta wonder if his coloring will change as he gets older, like the Appy often does??? *

friesian appaloosa spotted baby horse
Mystic Warrior– Crossing a Friesian horse with an Appaloosa resulted in this looker!

* See this horse as a 5 year old stallion in Peaches 2012 blog update Friesian/Appy wild spotted stallion– Mystic Warrior
. AND, he DID gray out and at 5 has leopard spotted Appaloosa coloring!

He’s a cutie all right! I google for him every coupla months to see whats up w/ him. He will be two this year (2008). His mom is 1/2 Friesian and 1/2 App and his sire is a purebred Friesian, making him the only 3/4 leopard Friesian in the world right now. His name is Mystic Warrior. You asked about color change; unfortunatly, his dam carries the greying gene, so he will eventually be solid white, probably by the time he is 8 yeas old. His big spots on his rump will go last.

I hear he sold for $20,000 as a yearling, but I don’t believe his new owners knew he would grey out. But he’s still valuable as a stallion, as he only has a 50% chance to pass on the greying gene.

I have a half Friesian , half Stonewall Sporthorse filly that I’m tempted to breed to him when they are both old enough. Love the spots on a Baroque horse!!

Wow he is so pretty. I always wanted a Friesian. Very nice baby though and i’m not a fan of apps, but he is beautiful.

How nice to look at something that brings a smile to your face.
What a shame it has to grow up.

He was one of the most beautiful creatures as a colt, but as a stallion, not only he is as gorgeous but also very majestic. I hope his owners adore him enough!!!! http://tinyurl.com/MysticWarrior
