| Dan and Sunday watercolor interpretation by Connie Moses private collection When some part of a photo isn't quite right for a portrait, the solution is to substitute from another picture. In this case, Dan's head was painted in from a different photo (see "Reiner's Grace" reference photo) for the interaction the artist wanted. This artwork is a good example of subduing and altering the background as well, and using lights and darks to create a dynamic composition. This style is also quite suitable as a memorial portrait. Commissioning a portrait is easy... The client says: "WOW! I have to say, I'm speechless. I can't wait to get these framed! Thanks again. They're beautiful!" - Dan S. Congratulations Dan on your gifts! |
